Certification
At Contemporary Controls we cannot overemphasize
the benefit of refining our quality standards so our
customers always receive quality products. The ISO9001:2000
standard is viewed as a framework to continuously
improve what we do. Conducting internal audits is
one way to demonstrate compliance to the standard
and to take any corrective action if needed.
Five employees voluteered their time to complete
eight hours of training to become internal auditors:
Brian Connelly, Maria Martinez, Stefanie Stocke, Rhiannon
LaPointe and Renee Lucente. These individuals began
a system-wide audit in late September, but stopped
the process after realizing that quality procedures
and work instructions needed to be updated.

Stefanie is no longer with the company for she resigned
for a new position in October.
Presently, the auditors are reviewing and rewriting
new quality policies and procedures and work instructions
before beginning their system-wide audit once again.
Once the audits are finished, a formal external audit
will be conducted.
Quality Manager George Karones says "It's critical
to improve our processes in order to promote growth
within the organization, improve efficiency and strive
to exceed customer expectations."
